Should You Leave Your Job or Side Hustle for Network Marketing or to be a FHG member?

Updated: Dec 29, 2024

Worried about my job

If you’re new to network marketing and wondering whether you should quit your job or side hustle to start, the answer is simple: you don’t have to! Network marketing is designed to complement what you’re already doing in the beginning. Over time, you can decide whether to transition to it fully. It’s not about abandoning your current income source—it’s about creating an additional stream of income. Beyond just financial security for the present, it’s a pathway to building transgenerational wealth and achieving long-term financial freedom.

Why You Don’t Need to Quit Your Job or Hustle

1. Flexibility: Network marketing allows you to work at your own pace. You can fit it into your schedule without disrupting your regular job or side hustle.

2. Extra Income: It’s a way to earn more money without replacing what you already have. Think of it as a backup plan or a financial boost.

3. Reduced Risk: Keeping your current income while starting network marketing ensures you’re financially secure. There’s no pressure to succeed overnight.

But you might want to ask, since FHG training schedule requires you are physically available Monday to Friday in the office, how then can you maintain balance?

My answer to this is, First you need to identify the category of working class set of people you are;

A) People averagely satisfied with their current job but won't mind a better offer when they are been opened to one, yet have a very tight working schedule

B) People averagely satisfied with their current job, won't mind a better offer when they are been opened to one, and have a very flexible working time scheduled.

C) People who are not satisfied with the type of job they are doing, have a fixed time scheduled and won't mind a better offer.

D) People who are not satisfied with the type of job they are doing, have a flexible working time scheduled and won't mind a better offer.

After identifying the category you belong to , here is my best advice for you :

Fixed Schedule (8 AM to 6 PM) AND -

Averagely Satisfied: You can start FHG part-time during evenings or weekends to supplement your income.

Not Satisfied: If you're unhappy with your current job, you might consider transitioning to FHG full-time, provided it aligns with your financial goals.

Flexible Job AND-

Averagely Satisfied: FHG can be integrated into your existing schedule, allowing you to maintain both income streams.

Not Satisfied: If your current work isn't fulfilling, you might choose to shift your focus more towards FHG, gradually making it your primary source of income.

This approach allows you to tailor your involvement with FHG based on your current job satisfaction and work schedule, ensuring a smooth transition and optimal work-life balance.

Just in case your decision is to engage fully as a Full-time F.H.G member "Leaders will be Obligated to your success in the business but won't be accountable to your day-to-day survival."

How to Balance Both Network Marketing and your Current Job -

  1. Set Clear Goals: Decide how much time and effort you can dedicate to network marketing without affecting your main job or business.

  2. Create a Schedule: Plan your time wisely. Even a few hours a week can make a difference.

  3. Stay Organized: Keep track of your network marketing activities so they don’t overlap with your other responsibilities.

  4. Leverage Technology: Use tools like social media, messaging apps, and other digital platforms to grow your network marketing business efficiently.

How to Balance Your Job with Being an FHG Member

1. Understand Your Priorities

Your main job provides stability, while FHG offers a chance to grow an additional income. Clearly define how much time you can allocate to FHG without affecting your job performance.

2. Integrate FHG Activities into Your Routine

Use your commute, lunch breaks, or downtime to engage in FHG activities like prospecting, following up, or learning. This way, FHG fits into your daily life seamlessly.

3. Set Achievable Goals

Break down your FHG targets into manageable tasks. For example, aim to contact three prospects daily or complete one training module each a week.

4. Dedicate Focused Time Slots

Choose specific hours (e.g., evenings or weekends) for FHG-related tasks. Stick to this schedule to ensure consistency without overwhelming yourself.

5. Communicate with Your Network

Let your team or mentors in FHG know about your schedule. They can provide guidance and help you optimize your efforts within your available time.

6. Track Your Progress

Keep a record of your FHG achievements and challenges. This will help you identify areas to improve while balancing both roles effectively.

7. Avoid Overcommitment

Be realistic about what you can handle. Quality efforts in FHG will yield better results than spreading yourself too thin.

8. Stay Motivated

Celebrate small wins, whether it’s a new prospect, completing training, or improving your skills. These milestones will keep you inspired.

10. Focus on Long-Term Benefits

Remember that FHG is an investment in your future, be long-term vision oriented.

Final Thoughts

The purpose of starting network marketing while keeping your current job isn’t to immediately replace your primary income source, which supports you now. Instead, it’s about building an additional income stream. Over time, as you establish yourself and gain stability in network marketing, you may choose to leave your job if it feels right.

In the future, network marketing could potentially outpace the earnings from your job. At that point, continuing your job might only be a matter of personal interest or passion. However, this shift doesn’t happen instantly—it takes time, dedication, and consistent effort to achieve.

So, if you’re debating whether to leave your job or business for network marketing, the answer is clear: You don’t need to leave, but your choice to keep your current job while been an F.G.H member relies on the satisfaction you derives in it.

Start small, stay consistent, and watch your efforts grow into something rewarding!

And lastly

Your commitment to success and time given to action determined how quick your result will show up

I actually agree on a 10/10 scale with what you mentioned there, it aligns a lot with what Brian Carruthers also advised in his _Building An Empire_ when he said he was into real estate before moving into NM.
